Added Value/Assignment

 

The Added Value Unit independent research which must include fieldwork or map work. Pupils will use knowledge and skills gained  when studying the other units to help them complete this work. To help pupils complete this unit and to provide personalisation and choice in their topic, we will provide opportunities to complete primary research by visiting the Big Burn to complete a river study; a visit to Main Street, Golspie to give pupils an opportunity to investigate a wide range of topics. At National 4 a report will be completed to show that pupils have met the required standard and at National 5 a write-up of their research methods, findings and conclusions will be completed under exam conditions and marked by the SQA.
